The Bandeirantes do Tocantins City Hall began, this Tuesday, October 7th , the sequence of renovation works in the Basic Health Units (UBS) of the municipality. The first to receive the services is the UBS Dona Gercina , located in the headquarters of Bandeirantes, with a total investment of R$ 440,014.14 and an execution period of three months . The completion and delivery of the work is scheduled for December 2025 .
The action is part of a package of improvements in the health area, which also includes the renovation of the annex of the Municipal Health Department , the revitalization of the health post in the Martinópolis district and the UBS Ana Garcia , located in the village of Brasilene.
Even during the construction period, services to the population continue as usual , ensuring the continuity of primary health care services. The renovation aims to provide greater convenience, comfort, and quality of care to residents of the city, districts, and rural areas.
Mayor Saulo Borges attended the official launch of the project and highlighted the administration's commitment to strengthening the municipal health structure.
"We've kicked off the renovations, and I'm closely monitoring each stage. We've also allocated R$500,000 in new equipment for the units. By the end of the year, everything will be ready for our people: renovated and equipped buildings, and two more ambulances available to the community," the mayor stated.
The works are being carried out under the supervision of the Municipal Health Department , in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure .
The Secretary of Health, Oneida Ramos Gonçalves Saorin , highlighted that the set of investments represents an important advance in the health care policy in the municipality.
"The renovations to the units and the acquisition of healthcare equipment in Bandeirantes mark a positive moment in Mayor Saulo Borges' administration. This dedication and care from the municipal manager demonstrate his commitment to the people of Bandeirantes," he emphasized.
The local community has enthusiastically welcomed the improvements, recognizing the administration's ongoing efforts to keep the city organized and public services fully operational.
